McLane became non-subscribers in Texas in 2013, which was prior to my promotion to managing our Texas nonsubscriber claims.

3. Tell us about your company.
McLane Company, Inc. is one of the largest supply chain services leaders in the United States, providing grocery and foodservice solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants. Through McLane Grocery and McLane Foodservice, McLane operates over 80 distribution centers and one of the nation’s largest private fleets. The company buys, sells and delivers more than 50,000 consumer products to nearly 110,000 locations across the U.S. McLane is a wholly owned unit of Berkshire Hathaway Inc and employs over 20,000 teammates.

Networking with the best-in-class Texas programs and employers as we seek to continually improve our own program.
5. Why is ARAWC important to your company?
In addition to the networking benefits mentioned above, advocating in Austin to preserve and advance responsible alternative options, and introducing other states to the programs as well.
6. Have you had the opportunity to meet and chat with other ARAWC members, either within your industry sector or in general? And what has been your impression of ARAWC and the organization’s efforts so far?
I haven’t had the opportunity to meet and network with other ARAWC members, but look forward to doing so in the near future.
