ARAWC Applauds Gov. Abbott and Leaders’ Effort to Get Texas Back in Business

Association for Responsible Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation joins other trade associations to support real solutions to save business in Texas

DALLAS, TEXAS (ARAWC.ORG) APRIL 22, 2020

Today the Association for Responsible Alternatives to Workers’ Compensation (ARAWC, or “A-Rock”) announced its support for Gov. Abbott and the Texas Strike Force members for their commitment to re-open the economy and get Texans back to work.

“Governor Abbott has shown real leadership in assembling some of the best Texas experts to join his strike force,” says Ryan Brannan, former Texas Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation, and adviser to ARAWC. “We are equally appreciative of these Texans volunteering their time in this important endeavor.”

ARAWC consists of major Texas employers in a broad spectrum of industries, including many that remain open to provide critical infrastructure and essential services support to their workforce, their customers and the Texas economy.

“As Texas begins to re-open it is imperative that we make sure the heroes that have remained open and gone to work, and the ones that are struggling to return, are protected from frivolous lawsuits,” says Brannan. “We applaud the Texans for Lawsuit Reform and other groups that have already made statements to this effect.”
